xx The Grand Re-opening of Half Moon Studios
« Thread started on: Jun 12th, 2011, 07:59am »

For many years the thoughts of a design community gone cold plagued the memories of few. Leaving them with memories of the good times left behind, drowned in personal strife and conflict, seemingly never to be brought back to the forefront of their minds or thoughts. A past to be added to the scrapbook of time and nothing more. A place lost to the winds of time, never to be regained and forever relinquished to the grasp of fickle father time. But this is no longer just a faded memory...

In all seriousness and dark narratives aside, HalfMoon Studios has been revived to it's forum glory and beyond. Today it stands as Volume (Version) 5 - Faded Memories. Many years ago forums reigned supreme as the main way for people to keep in touch and show off their graphic prowess and coding tenacity. Well here at HMS, we feel it's time to return to our roots and bring back those times.

We will do our best to bring about contests, competitions and critique that harken back to those days while helping everyone move ahead in to the modern world of graphics and coding.

So if you're interested in graphic design, coding, nostalgia, forums, heck, if you're just around, stick around and see what happens. And so, without further ado:

Welcome to the Grand Re-Opening of HalfMoon Studios - Faded Memories

I absolutely love the design! I think I'll have to figure out what to do with your forum! You should definitely help with some layout templates in the new version.

Indeed we did. And I think we can officially say Dalton and I have some things in the works for the future. (Dalton, feel free to correct me here if you disagree and then I will simply say I will attempt to have something in the works, haha)

I remember the first one. I liked the design of that one but this one seems to be taken a step higher in its design.

ALSO who here remembers me?

Gz on the re-opening of Halfmoon, i only hope the CF community really get behind it and take full advantage wink

Just a few points if i may?
It might just be my screen, is there meant to be a white bar below the menu bar?
(just noticed the hover login at the top, very nice cool)
I'm drawn to the dark lines around the login boxes, is that intended? because if so, it works ^^ i do have a code somewhere to remove the login boxes if you need it, with the menu login plus the hover at the top it could make it cleaner? that's just my personal pref though
Another thing that might help is i have a code to make the left cell in the info center a different colour? Being default image it makes the cell tall and thin, might look more complete if the background was the same? however once again, personal preference smiley
Possibly replace the default image just so it matches your on/off icons?
LOVE the photos used in the banner <3

Either way, Well done both of you, I hope it pays off for you both!

Just noticed the last reply date, might be abit late on this one ^^ I haven't been on for time grin
- Hope alls well.
