Unfortunately, if the old board was deleted, someone could sign up with the same URL. Back then, the backup would have been overwritten with the new board. I did realise this was happening so coded the system to preserve the old backup as well.
I'm guessing that this was after 2003 though :/

Hello again!

Hmm... This is very interesting indeed!

Because it seems that the forum you've restored has been administrated by someone entirely else than us! shocked

The forum was being used way back somewhere around 2003, so after our website went down someone has apparently issued a forum by the same address/name. (Not very surprising, considering the name Hypnotoad is a semi-popular reference to the show Futurama) tongue

For your information, here's a web-archive's snapshot of the forum from 2003, when it was maintained by us:

http://web.archive.org/web/20030406035935/http://hypnotoad.conforums.com:80/

Unfortunately the snapshot doesn't have any messages preserved, so that's why I'm bugging you here in the first place cheesy

Thank you for your efforts!

Hi!

I'd appreciate if you'd restore it, so we could browse it for nostalgic reasons.

Thanks!

I have found a message board with that URL and have restored it for you but it has no content at all : sad

I'll check into this further in case there is another backup on the server.

I've found a file that shouldn't be there in your message boards data, so I've removed it. Can you try to save the image again please?

8   Support Board / Possible Issue With Avatars  on: Aug 10th, 2017, 11:40pm

So one of my members has told me that he hasn't been able to get his avatar to appear on my forum.

I ended up testing it myself by uploading to the image host that I use and modifying his profile, but the avatar still doesn't work. The image link also disappears when I go back to modify his profile again.

I've never had this issue before. Is this a possible bug due to a recent update?

http://chronostar.conforums3.com

His avatar uploaded to my photo sharing account: http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j313/zayna_acrocanthosaur/Justins%20Folder/avatars/diridae_icon_by_killeraircraftvictim-dbjml61_zpspycht2lg.png

Thanks in advance!

First, you need open your admin panel and click Ad-Free like in image.

Then you will be on this page and you can apply the credits from there.

Like Dave mentioned, be aware that your ad-free credits are worth 50,000 page views but expire at the end of the month in which they are applied. So if you do not believe you will have 50,000 pageviews before the end of July 31, it may be wisest to wait and apply them at the beginning of August.

Yes, I can see that when I go to your board and I also see an ad-free credit waiting to be applied. This credit needs to applied to make the ads go away.
